If you want to be successful in game—and by that I mean, if you want to broaden your options with cute girls in the dating marketplace—then consistency trumps looks.
Not every time, admittedly—but over the long-term it’s more important to be consistent than good looking.
Today the sun is out in London and it feels for the first time like we’ve actually reached spring. This is good news for the daygamers out there, who will doubtless be out in force along Oxford Street hoping to meet new girls.
But the consistent player who is truly dedicated to the lifestyle will have been out approaching even in the depths of winter. A friend of mine has been daygaming out in Russia in the snow, in subzero conditions, for all of the first quarter of this year.
Why would anyone do such a strange thing? Well, simply because he is aware, through long years of experience, that by putting in consistent effort he will reap the rewards later.
Contrast this strategy with that of my friend Paul, who is a good looking playboy based in the north of England.
Paul, currently single, does pretty well for himself in the dating marketplace, using a combination of Tinder, Bumble and bars and clubs to meet new girls.
He doesn’t do daygame—or certainly not in any regular, structured way anyway.
His ‘approach’ as far as nightgame is concerned is really simply to just stand there and wait for girls to notice him and to shoot him IOIs (indicators of interest).
And they do.
So it works for him . . . up to a point.
However—and this is the key takeout here—he is in no shape or form as successful as my other, less aesthetically-pleasing mate. Why not?
Simply because that friend is incredibly and hugely consistent in approaching, while Paul is not.
It has been said before that looks are only one part of the puzzle when it comes to attracting women. Yes, they are hugely important and in some cases can seal the deal for you. But nine times out of ten, looks will only get your foot in the door. They buy you a few extra seconds in an interaction, if that.
This is where your game nous must come in, for you must find a way to convert that initial spark on interested based on aesthetics into something more.
And game nous is something any man can acquire.
As such, if you are consistent, and you use game, then over the long term you can easily outperform your better-looking friends . . . . unless they are also consistently using game too, in which case you will really have a battle on your hands.
However, the truth of the matter is that a lot of very attractive guys have simply never learned or applied game as they haven’t felt it necessary. Which is why, unfortunately, some of those guys end up getting married too early and screwed over by divorce.
Anyway, I hope my message is clear—regardless of your looks, aim to be consistent in your game. That means having a set number of approaches to do per day / week / month and sticking to it. And having someone to hold you accountable if necessary.
It also means studying game as much as you can, learning from your mistakes and taking care to correct them.
